Tasks and responsibilities

Together with your team, you are responsible for the operational management of the infrastructure of the clients assigned to you. You provide our clients with operational support (2nd and 3rd line) and you implement, patch, upgrade or migrate the client’s infrastructure (eg. VMWare, Hyper-V, Office 365, Azure,…).  The more experienced you get the more complex your task will become.
 

As our System Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
 

• Incident and service request handling in accordance with our internal processes
• Implementation of projects for the client within the negotiated scope taking into consideration technical possibilities, respecting milestones and deadlines
• Staying up to date with technology evolutions and making sure your knowledge remains ahead of the curve  
• Grow and gain experience, become a subject matter expert in your field and guide your colleagues with their complex technical questions  
• Ownership for the client relationship: you are recognized by the client as a technical expert, from whom to seek advise  
• Support our sales team with your technical expertise 
• Technical/technological discussions with the clients  
• Be part of our 24×7 support team  

How do you qualify for this position?
 

• You master some of the following : End-user computing, MECM (SCCM), Intune, asset staging, Group policy operations, Microsoft Active Directory, ADFS, Exchange, IIS, VMware virtualization, Hyper-V, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Azure.  
• Knowledge of Microsoft PowerShell or any other scripting language is highly desirable  
• Understanding of ITIL concepts like incident management, change management, problem management, etc.   
• Backup, enterprise infrastructure monitoring, vulnerability management and patching products.  
• Knowledge of network switching: TCP/IP, subnet calculations, VLAN & load balancing concepts. CCNA certification is a plus.  
• Microsoft SQL Server.
• You have a bachelor or master’s degree in IT 
• You have good communication skills in English and Dutch or French (or both) 
• You have good analytical and problem-solving skills 
• You are skilled in creating and enhancing high quality rated as-build documentation, implementation procedures and processes.    
• You have an eye for details 
• You can work both independently and, in a team 
• You take our client’s needs into consideration and are ready to go the extra mile to deliver a solution
