What we do: IBA Industrial Solutions is the global leader in electron beam (E-beam), X-ray, and proton generator technologies. Short history: Founded in 1986 by Yves Jongen as a spin-off from the Cyclotron Research Center of the Catholic University of Louvain-la-Neuve (UCL), IBA initially focused on medical imaging and radiotherapy. In 1992, it expanded into industrial irradiation technologies with the introduction of the Rhodotron®. The company has grown through employee buyouts, stock market listing in Brussels in 1998, and strategic acquisitions such as Radiation Dynamics, Inc. in 1999, strengthening its position in electron beam technology worldwide.
