Short history: Founded in 1992, Futerro was among the first companies globally to develop lactic acid and PLA. Over 30 years, it has grown to become the second largest PLA producer worldwide, with an annual production capacity of 100,000 tons. The company holds over 300 patents and continues to innovate in bio-based chemistry and circular plastics.
