About us

What we do: TRADECOWALL is a cooperative company dedicated to the sustainable and circular management of construction and demolition waste in Wallonia. Our core mission is to collect, sort, crush, and recycle inert waste from construction sites, transforming it into valuable resources that can be reintegrated into the production cycle. We offer a comprehensive range of services, including consulting, technical data sheets, transport, and the sale of certified aggregates (CE2+, Qualiroutes). Our activities support the circular economy and help preserve natural resources by minimizing landfill use and promoting the reuse of materials. We serve a broad clientele, including construction companies, public institutions, and environmental stakeholders, and are recognized for our expertise in the environmental services sector.

Where we are located: Our headquarters is located at Rue du Tronquoy 24, 5380 Fernelmont, Belgium. This central location in Wallonia allows us to efficiently serve the region and maintain strong ties with local communities and partners.

Short history: Founded in 1991, TRADECOWALL has grown from a local initiative into a key player in Wallonia’s environmental sector. Over the years, we have developed advanced recycling processes and built a robust R&D department that drives innovation, such as the Fibfreecem project, which focuses on the safe valorization of cement waste. Our cooperative structure, combining 160 private entrepreneurs and institutional stakeholders, reflects our commitment to collective progress and sustainable development.

Organization & culture: TRADECOWALL employs a team of 75 passionate professionals who share a strong sense of responsibility towards the environment and the community. Our corporate culture is built on collaboration, innovation, and social responsibility. We believe that every team member’s contribution is vital to achieving our mission. With a public-private ownership model, we foster a culture of transparency, local engagement, and continuous improvement. Each year, we recycle over 500,000 tons of inert waste and valorize 800,000 tons of excavated soil, demonstrating our operational excellence and environmental impact.

Recent developments: TRADECOWALL continues to lead in sustainable innovation, notably through pilot projects like those with the Road Research Center (CRR), testing road surfaces with high percentages of recycled materials. These initiatives not only reduce construction costs but also significantly lower the environmental footprint of infrastructure projects. Our ongoing commitment to R&D and professional training ensures that we remain at the forefront of the circular economy in construction.
