What we do: ECOS is an international non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to advocating for environmentally friendly technical standards, policies, and laws. Our core mission is to ensure that environmental considerations are integral to the development of sustainable practices across various industries. We provide expertise to policymakers and industry leaders, facilitating the implementation of robust environmental principles that protect our planet. Our work focuses on standardization and ecodesign, engaging in critical discussions on waste management, biodiversity, energy efficiency, and more. ECOS is recognized as a go-to organization for questions on technical standards, with policy experts covering bioenergy, electric cars, climate & CO₂, EU policy, efficiency, electricity, finance, hydrogen, renewables, storage, technology, and transport[3]. We are part of impactful alliances such as the Rethink Plastic alliance, Coolproducts, Right to Repair, the Cool Coalition, Platform for Electro-mobility, Coalition for Energy Savings, and the One Planet Network, collaborating with NGOs, progressive companies, and researchers to advocate for a greener future[1].

Where we are located: ECOS is headquartered at Rue du Commerce 31, 1000 Bruxelles, Belgium. Our central location in Brussels allows us to engage directly with European and international policymakers and stakeholders.
