Short history: Founded in 1946 in Thieusies by Georges Gobert and his wife Marie, the company started in wood trading. In the 1950s, their sons Ghislain and Gérard joined, expanding into coal, fuel oil, and transport. In 1975, Hubert Gobert joined, further diversifying into civil engineering equipment rental and spoil tip exploitation. In 1983, the three sons officially created Gobert & Fils, consolidating the group's activities and continuing growth.
