What we do: BIOTEC INTERNATIONAL CORPORATE SCRL develops conceptual, technological and methodological tools for sustainable management of organic waste and wastewater in tropical regions. Our core activities include treating agricultural, agro-industrial and urban wastewater, managing solid organic waste, and valorising by-products for use as industrial, energy and agricultural inputs. We specialise in biogas, organic fertilisation, composting, clean energies, energy efficacy, agroindustry, water treatment, organic waste treatment, POME effluents, renewable energy, palm oil effluents, organic fertiliser and engineering. Our solutions help replace fossil fuels, reduce chemical fertilisers, generate gas and electricity from energy crops, and prevent effluent discharge to water bodies.

Where we are located: Our headquarters are at Rue Louis de Geer, 6, 1348 Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium. We operate primarily from Belgium, serving clients and partners in tropical regions worldwide.

Short history: Founded in Belgium in 1984 by the Conil family, BIOTEC has grown into a recognised expert in biogas and organic waste management for tropical countries. Over the years, we have pioneered innovative solutions such as monitored liquid organic fertilisation in oil palm plantations and large-scale biodigesters for POME in Africa, Colombia and Brazil. Our vision is the sustainable development of humanity through organic agriculture and renewable energy.
