Short history: Mirmex Motor originated as a university spin-off from UCLouvain, with research beginning in 2013. The company was officially founded in late 2017, born out of frustration with the high cost and limited customization of traditional micromotors. Since then, Mirmex has grown into a recognized innovator, with multi-million-euro funding including support from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 program. Production capacity has reached 100,000 windings per year, and our patented technology is now available in volume to leading OEMs.
