Utilizing technologies such as Doppler radar, active and passive infrared, electromagnetic induction, and laser, BEA designs motion, presence, and safety sensors. Their products serve diverse markets including pedestrian automatic doors, industrial automation, public transportation, vehicle sensing, security and access control, and people counting. BEA’s sensors are widely used in airports, parking facilities, shopping malls, warehouses, and other public and industrial environments.

Where we are located: The company’s headquarters are situated in the Liège Science Park, Allée des Noisetiers 5, 4031 Angleur, Belgium. BEA also maintains offices in the United States, Japan, and China, supporting its global operations.

Short history: Founded in 1965 in Liège, Belgium, BEA was a pioneer in the sensor industry, notably launching one of the first Doppler microwave radars for automatic doors. In 2002, BEA became part of the British HALMA Group, a global leader in safety technology. Over the decades, BEA has expanded its product range and international presence, now employing around 400 people worldwide.
