Short history: Versus Production was founded in April 1999 by Jacques-Henri and Olivier Bronckart. Initially focused on documentaries and award-winning short films, the company has evolved into a major force in Belgian cinema, recognized for its commitment to artistic innovation and international collaboration. Over the years, we have built a reputation for nurturing directors with strong personal universes, including Bouli Lanners, Olivier Masset-Depasse, Joachim Lafosse, Stefan Liberski, and the Malandrin brothers. Our films have been celebrated at major international festivals, reflecting our dedication to excellence and creative risk-taking.

Recent developments: In a significant move for the Belgian film industry, Caviar—a prominent international production company—has acquired a 45% stake in Versus Production, aiming to develop larger-scale, international projects across film and television. The remaining 55% stays with founder Jacques-Henri Bronckart, ensuring continuity in our artistic vision and day-to-day management. This partnership strengthens our capacity to pursue ambitious projects and reinforces our position as a key player in European cinema.
