What we do: Transport & Environment (T&E) is Europe's leading advocate for clean transport and energy, focusing on promoting sustainable transport policies at the EU level. We work to minimize environmental and health impacts of transport while maximizing resource efficiency. Our campaigns cover all transport modes including cars, trucks, aviation, shipping, and rail, aiming for a zero-emission, affordable, and beneficial transport system for people and the planet.

Where we are located: Our headquarters are located at Sq. de Meeûs 18, 2nd floor, 1050 Ixelles, Brussels, Belgium. We also have staff working across Europe in cities such as Rome, Berlin, Madrid, and London.

Short history: Founded in 1990, T&E has played a key role in shaping major European environmental laws, including setting the world’s most ambitious CO2 standards for vehicles, uncovering the dieselgate scandal, campaigning to end palm oil diesel, securing a global ban on dirty shipping fuels, and establishing the world’s largest carbon market for aviation. In 2022, our advocacy contributed to the EU decision to end sales of new combustion engine cars and vans by 2035.
