About us

What we do: Appeal Studios is a premier game development studio based in Belgium, specializing in creating immersive and memorable video games across multiple platforms. Currently, Appeal Studios focuses on developing innovative open-world sci-fi action-adventure games that leverage artificial intelligence to create dynamic, interactive narratives.

Where we are located: The company is headquartered at 14 bld Audent, 6000 Charleroi, Hainaut, Belgium.

Short history: Founded in 1995 by Yann Robert, Yves Grolet, and Franck Sauer, Appeal Studios initially gained acclaim with the release of Outcast in 1999. Despite early commercial challenges and a bankruptcy in 2001, the studio was re-established in 2013 after reacquiring the rights to Outcast. In 2018, Appeal Studios was re-founded and has since grown to approximately 55 employees. In 2019, the rights to Outcast were sold to THQ Nordic, and the studio continues to develop new projects under this umbrella.
