Short history: Founded in 1995 by Yann Robert, Yves Grolet, and Franck Sauer, Appeal Studios initially gained acclaim with the release of Outcast in 1999. Despite early commercial challenges and a bankruptcy in 2001, the studio was re-established in 2013 after reacquiring the rights to Outcast. In 2018, Appeal Studios was re-founded and has since grown to approximately 55 employees. In 2019, the rights to Outcast were sold to THQ Nordic, and the studio continues to develop new projects under this umbrella.
