About us

What we do: Brewery Bertinchamps is a family-owned craft brewery based in Gembloux, Wallonia, Belgium, dedicated to creating unique, high-quality beers that celebrate conviviality and authentic taste. Our core business is the artisanal production of a diverse range of Belgian-style beers, including Blonde, Brune, Triple, Blanche, and innovative varieties such as Pamplemousse, as well as three gins and matching tonics under the Farmed brand. We manage the entire brewing process from grain to bottle, ensuring full traceability and quality control. Our products are available in bottles and kegs, and we export about 30% of our production to countries including France, Italy, the Netherlands, Taiwan, and Japan. In addition to brewing, we offer guided tours, tastings, and a restaurant where guests can enjoy our beers paired with local dishes, contributing to the region’s culinary heritage.

Where we are located: Our headquarters and production site are located at Rue Bertinchamps 4, 5030 Gembloux, Belgium, in a beautifully renovated historic farm dating back over 700 years. This unique setting blends traditional heritage with modern brewing technology, creating a distinctive atmosphere for both work and visitor experiences.

Short history: Founded in 2013 by the Humblet family, Brewery Bertinchamps was established to continue a long tradition of brewing expertise. The family chose a historic square farm in need of renovation, symbolizing their commitment to preserving local heritage while embracing innovation. The brewery quickly became known for its premium, additive-free beers made from pure malt and hops, and has grown steadily, expanding its product range and international presence.

Organization & culture: With a team of 14 dedicated employees, we foster a collaborative, inclusive, and dynamic work environment where every voice is valued. Our culture is rooted in passion, teamwork, and a shared commitment to excellence and authenticity. We believe that beer is more than a drink—it is a means of bringing people together and creating memorable moments. Innovation and creativity are encouraged, and we strive to maintain a family spirit, even as we grow.

Recent developments: Brewery Bertinchamps continues to innovate with new beer varieties and the launch of the Farmed gin and tonic range. Our eco-friendly production processes, including steam reuse and biological recycling of residues, reflect our commitment to sustainability. The brewery remains an active contributor to the local community and culinary scene, hosting events and offering unique experiences for visitors and beer enthusiasts alike.
