It supports economic activity and employment by fostering innovation, collaboration, and internationalization within the food ecosystem. The cluster connects industrial players, universities, research centers, and training institutions to stimulate responsible development and sustainable transition in the agro-food industry. Services include networking, innovation support (technological, business, and managerial), project facilitation, and participation in European and regional initiatives.

Where we are located: Wagralim is headquartered at Rue Auguste Piccard 20, 6041 Charleroi, Belgium, situated in the strategic Walloon region in the heart of Europe.

Short history: Founded in 2006 as a non-profit association, Wagralim is one of the six competitiveness clusters designated to support strategic sectors in Wallonia. Over the years, it has grown to include over 300 members, including companies, research, and training centers, and has become a key player in the European agri-food innovation landscape.

Organization & culture: Wagralim operates as a collaborative cluster bringing together more than 300 members from industry, academia, and research. It values innovation, partnership, and sustainability, aiming to create a circular and sustainable food system. The culture emphasizes cooperation, knowledge sharing, and supporting members in technological and business development.

Recent developments: Wagralim actively participates in European projects and networks such as the Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC), EIT Food, and others.
