Cenaero

What we do: Cenaero is a private non-profit applied research center specializing in numerical simulation methods and tools to support companies in technology innovation. It focuses on aeronautical design, spacecraft, manufacturing processes, and smart buildings and cities. Cenaero offers expertise in high performance composites, optimization and uncertainty quantification, multidisciplinary topology optimization, metallic manufacturing process modeling, high resolution computational fluid dynamics, hypersonic flows, thermo-fluid systems modeling, turbomachinery design, and high performance computing. The company also develops software platforms such as Argo (multi-physics simulation), Morfeo (manufacturing process and crack propagation simulation), and Minamo (design space exploration and optimization).

Where we are located: Cenaero is headquartered at Rue des Frères Wright 29, 6041 Gosselies, Belgium.

Short history: Founded in 2002, Cenaero has grown into an internationally recognized center of excellence in applied research, particularly in aerospace and manufacturing sectors. It operates the Tier-1 Walloon supercomputing infrastructure with over 14,000 computing cores, supporting fundamental, applied, and industrial research. The center is certified to EN 9100:2018 and ISO 9001:2015 standards.

Organization & culture: Cenaero employs around 70 highly skilled engineers and researchers.
