About us

What we do: The Foundation for Future Generations is a Belgian non-profit organization dedicated exclusively to promoting the transition of society towards sustainable development. It supports, finances, and connects innovative thinkers and projects that embody a 360° approach considering four dimensions: people, planet, prosperity, and participation. Its activities span education, research, societal entrepreneurship, and impact finance, aiming to prepare future generations to act sustainably and create a livable world.

Where we are located: The Foundation is headquartered at Rue de l'Arsenal 4, 5000 Namur, Belgium, and operates independently across all three regions of Belgium.

Short history: Founded in 1998, the Foundation for Future Generations is the only Belgian foundation exclusively focused on sustainable development. Since its inception, it has acted as a platform for transformative philanthropy, uniting partners and donors to invest in future generations and promote a pluralistic, collaborative approach to sustainability.

Organization & culture: The Foundation employs around 27 people and fosters a culture rooted in trust, respect, and shared vision. It values pluralism and collaboration, engaging in both operative activities and grantmaking to leverage its endowment and attract additional resources. Its team works with a strong commitment to sustainable practices in all aspects of their work.
