What we do: Blue-bike is a pioneering bike-sharing service in Belgium, dedicated to providing accessible and sustainable transportation solutions. Our mission is to make cycling the preferred mode of travel, contributing to a greener future. We operate over 124 locations across Belgium, offering more than 2,500 bikes for rent through a single membership, primarily serving the 'last mile' of travel after public transport.

Where we are located: Our headquarters is situated at Provinciestraat 53, 2018 Antwerp, Belgium. We have a presence across the country, with most locations at train stations and transport hubs.

Short history: Founded in 2011, Blue-bike was initiated by the former NMBS holding company and FIETSenWERK. In 2018, De Lijn became the main shareholder, with TEC maintaining limited involvement. We have grown significantly, with over 36,000 members completing more than 350,000 trips in 2023.

Organization & culture: Our company employs around 11 to 17 people at our Antwerp headquarters. We foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and customer satisfaction, emphasizing sustainability and community engagement.

Recent developments: We are introducing electric Blue-bikes to enhance user experience and promote sustainable mobility, starting in cities like Leuven and Ostend.
