ACIS asbl

What we do: ACIS asbl is a private association dedicated to serving people in the medico-social sector. It manages 50 institutions across Wallonia and Brussels, providing support to approximately 7,500 beneficiaries daily. Its services cover psychiatric and child psychiatric hospitals, nursing and care homes, day care centers, special primary and secondary education, homes for women in difficulty, youth aid, centers for people with disabilities, crèches, and service residences.

Where we are located: The headquarters is located at Avenue de la Pairelle 33, 5000 Namur, Belgium. The association operates throughout all Walloon provinces and Brussels.

Short history: Founded in 1975, ACIS was established to sustain the medico-social work of religious congregations. Over the years, it has become a key manager of medico-social institutions in Belgium, recognized for combining rigorous management with Christian values focused on the dignity and respect of individuals.

Organization & culture: ACIS employs around 6,000 collaborators who work daily alongside beneficiaries. The organization emphasizes a supportive, multidisciplinary work environment with ongoing training, personalized care, and a balance between professional and private life. It reinvests its results into infrastructure and equipment to enhance well-being for both beneficiaries and staff.
