Where we are located: Walibi’s headquarters are at Boulevard de l'Europe 100, 1300 Wavre, Belgium. The park is situated in Walloon Brabant, close to Brussels, and is easily accessible from major Belgian cities.

Short history: Founded in 1975 by Belgian entrepreneur Eddy Meeùs, Walibi Belgium began as a park with water skiing and children’s attractions themed to the Belgian comic Tintin. The name 'Walibi' is derived from the first letters of three local districts: Wavre, Limal, and Bierges. Over the years, Walibi expanded into a chain of parks across Belgium, France, and the Netherlands. The park underwent several ownership changes, including a period as Six Flags Belgium, before reverting to the Walibi brand in 2005. The park celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2025, marking five decades of entertainment and innovation.

Organization & culture: Walibi Belgium is part of the Compagnie des Alpes group, a leading European operator in leisure and tourism. Recent developments: Between 2018 and 2023, Walibi Belgium underwent a major regeneration, with 70% of the park transformed. This included the addition of three new roller coasters, the relocation of existing attractions, and the launch of new themed zones such as Exotic World and Karma World. The park also celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2025 with special events, a collector’s market, and a record-breaking drone show.
