ASBL "CARAH": Centre pour l'Agronomie et l'Agro-Industrie de la Province de Hainaut

What we do: ASBL CARAH is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting agriculture and agro-industry in the Province of Hainaut, Belgium. It provides a wide range of services including independent certification, economic and informational support for farmers, agronomic experimentation, international agronomic expertise, an experimental and educational farm, forestry, nature and environment project services, horticultural and agricultural training, soil science services, environmental quality management, and applied research. CARAH serves farmers, breeders, foresters, horticulturists, and rural SMEs, focusing on sustainable agricultural practices, environmental respect, and food safety.

Where we are located: The headquarters of CARAH is located at Rue Paul Pastur 11, 7800 Ath, in the Walloon Region of Belgium.

Short history: Founded on March 28, 1972, CARAH has evolved to become a key institution in agricultural development in Hainaut. It has expanded its activities to include a broad spectrum of agricultural and rural economic services, adapting to technological advances and new environmental and regulatory challenges.
