What we do: BOTALYS is a Belgian biotechnology company specializing in the sustainable production of ultra-pure, premium botanical ingredients for the nutraceutical, cosmeceutical, and healthcare industries. Using proprietary Biomimetic Indoor Farming technology, we cultivate rare medicinal plants—such as Korean red ginseng and Nordic Rhodiola rosea—in controlled environments that replicate optimal wild conditions. This ensures our ingredients are of exceptional purity, bioactive potency, and free from pesticides and heavy metals. Our vertically integrated process covers cultivation, harvesting, processing, quality control, and delivery, with products certified for DNA identification, vegan, halal, and kosher standards. We serve global markets, including the US, Europe, and Japan, and partner with leading healthcare companies to advance botanical innovation through precision cultivation and evidence-based development.

Where we are located: Our headquarters is located at Av. des Artisans 8/6, 7822 Ath, Belgium. We operate one of the largest vertical farms in Europe dedicated to medicinal plants, fully integrated and compliant with the strictest EU quality standards.

Short history: Founded in 2011, BOTALYS has established itself as a pioneer in sustainable botanical ingredient production. Over more than a decade of R&D, we have developed unique expertise in cultivating plants that are difficult to grow using traditional methods. Our first commercial success was Panax ginseng, with roots containing 10–15 times more valuable ginsenosides than those grown in natural environments, and a harvest cycle reduced from 4–5 years to just 4–5 months. We continue to expand our portfolio with other rare medicinal plants, driven by a commitment to innovation and biodiversity preservation.
