What we do: Challenge Handling is a leading ground handling provider at Liège Airport, specializing in both complex and standard cargo operations. Our expertise covers perishables, pharma, live animals, oversized and dangerous goods, as well as unique infrastructure for the Oil & Gas industry. We ensure fast, secure, and efficient transfer from aircraft to trucks, supporting quick delivery to market. Our team is highly skilled in optimizing cargo loading and handling, always prioritizing safety and customer satisfaction.

Where we are located: Our headquarters are at Building 76, 4460 Grâce-Hollogne, Belgium, directly at Liège Airport. This strategic location places us at the heart of Europe’s golden triangle (Paris – Amsterdam – Frankfurt), offering direct access to all major European economic centers.

Short history: Founded in 1997 as a joint venture between AGREXO and CAL Cargo Airlines, Challenge Handling has grown into a key player in European air cargo. In 2006, CAL Cargo Airlines became the sole owner. Since then, we have expanded our infrastructure and capabilities, including the opening of a Second Line Warehouse in 2020 and a third building in 2021, bringing our total handling area to 40,000 m².

Organization & culture: With around 500 employees as of 2023, Challenge Handling is part of the Challenge Group. Our culture is built on efficiency, quality, safety, and innovation. Our load masters are recognized for their ability to maximize payload efficiency and deliver tailored solutions.

Recent developments: In 2020, we opened a Second Line Warehouse dedicated to import cargo dismantling, sorting, and distribution. In 2021, we took possession of a third building, further expanding our handling capacity and supporting the operations of Challenge Group airlines.
