About us

What we do: Belourthe SA is a leading Belgian manufacturer specializing in high-quality baby foods, including cereals and infant milk formulas. We produce a wide range of products for both our own brands, such as Ninolac and Fortilac, and for private label clients worldwide. Our expertise extends to customized formulations and packaging solutions, serving supermarket chains and major brands across more than 80 countries. In addition to baby foods, we also produce local products like 'Oufti' frozen sweet snacks and 'Chimay Sélection' frozen pancakes.

Where we are located: Our headquarters and main production site are located at Avenue des Villas, 4180 Hamoir, in the Walloon Region of Belgium. The factory is situated in a peaceful environment, surrounded by forests and far from pollution.

Short history: Belourthe was founded in 2005 to save the Hamoir plant, formerly operated by Nestlé, from closure. Starting with just 27 employees, the company has grown significantly over the years. Today, Belourthe employs around 90 people and has become a major player in the international baby food market, exporting to five continents.

Organization & culture: Our team is made up of skilled professionals who value competence, responsiveness, and innovation. We foster a culture centered on customer satisfaction, product quality, integrity, passion, team spirit, and sustainable development. Employees are encouraged to contribute to our growth in a competitive and dynamic environment.

Recent developments: Belourthe has recently won the 'Company of the Year®' award by EY, in collaboration with L'Echo and BNP Paribas Fortis. The company continues to invest in sustainability, including eco-designed packaging and renewable energy solutions, and remains committed to innovation and market leadership.
