Ancienne Belgique (AB) is a premier concert hall located in the historic heart of Brussels, Belgium, dedicated to contemporary pop and rock music. Renowned as one of Belgium's leading venues, AB consistently hosts a diverse array of international and local artists, offering a vibrant cultural experience to its audiences.
The venue boasts a rich history, evolving from a 15th-century bank vault into a Belle Epoque brasserie and music hall before its modern reincarnation. After a period of closure, it was famously revived in the late 1970s, welcoming legendary acts such as Leonard Cohen, Frank Zappa, and The Clash. Acquired by the Flemish Community in 1977, Ancienne Belgique underwent extensive renovations, reopening in 1996 with state-of-the-art facilities.
Today, AB features three distinct halls: the Main Hall, with a capacity of 2,000, along with ABBox and ABClub, enabling it to cater to a broad spectrum of musical performances and audiences.
