Short history: UNIZIMA was founded in 2020 as part of the Univercells Group, a global network of biotech innovators dedicated to transforming how biotech drugs are made and distributed[1]. The company was established to support turnkey technology transfer and the setup of local bioproduction facilities in emerging markets, leveraging the group’s expertise in scaling, production, and bioprocessing[1]. Since its inception, UNIZIMA has worked to make the production of biologics a sustainable reality in regions where access to these medicines has historically been limited[2].
