Short history: Tractebel’s roots trace back to the 19th century, with a rich heritage of engineering excellence. Over more than 150 years, the company has grown through strategic mergers and acquisitions, including the integration of renowned firms such as Coyne et Bellier, known for landmark dam projects and nuclear consultancy. Tractebel became the principal shareholder of Coyne et Bellier in 1986 and rebranded it in 2009, further expanding its activities in power, gas, and energy transition. Today, as part of the ENGIE group, Tractebel continues to build on this legacy, driving innovation and sustainability across all its operations.
