Short history: Founded in 2005, SO Kwadraat has grown to become a key player in the Belgian high-tech start-up ecosystem. Over the years, they have supported numerous start-ups and aim to facilitate the creation of 500 high-tech spin-offs within ten years, expected to generate around 10,000 new jobs. Their funding comes from sponsorships by major companies such as Deloitte, McKinsey & Company, ING, and support from the Flemish government.

Organization & culture: SO Kwadraat is led by a team of seven successful high-tech entrepreneurs who share their personal experience to support new start-ups. The organization operates with a clear code of conduct and a crown council of industry leaders advising them. Their culture emphasizes practical, hands-on advice and the belief that entrepreneurs are always in charge of their ventures. Their services are offered free of charge to maximize impact.
