What we do: Cilyx is a Belgian engineering company specializing in the design, manufacture, and integration of custom production machines, special tools, and test and measurement benches. Our core expertise lies in mechanical engineering, industrial automation, and project management, with a strong focus on delivering tailor-made solutions for both the life sciences (pharmaceutical and biotechnology) and industrial sectors. We serve a diverse clientele, including major Belgian and international companies such as Safran, Sabca, Thales, and Sonaca, and have completed projects across Europe, North America, and Asia. Our services cover the entire project lifecycle—from concept and design to installation, commissioning, and after-sales support—ensuring that our clients benefit from improved production performance, reliability, and quality.

Where we are located: Our headquarters and main workshop are located at Rue Louis Plescia 7, 4102 Seraing, Belgium, in the heart of Wallonia’s industrial region. This fully equipped facility allows us to develop, test, and deliver advanced production systems and automation solutions for our global partners.

Short history: Cilyx was founded about 15 years ago by co-CEOs Fabien Defays and Grégory Reichling, both with backgrounds in the aerospace industry. The company has since grown into a recognized player in engineering excellence, known for its commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction. Over the years, Cilyx has expanded its expertise beyond aerospace to include defense, automotive, energy, agri-food, and especially life sciences, where we have developed specialized solutions for bioprocess automation, syringe and vial handling, and pharmaceutical implant manufacturing.
