What we do: Coreso SA is a pioneering Regional Coordination Service Centre dedicated to enhancing the reliability and efficiency of electrical systems across Europe. We serve as a vital link among transmission system operators (TSOs), providing seamless operational coordination in a rapidly evolving energy landscape. Our core mission is to ensure the security of electricity supply for 275 million customers, representing over half of the European Union's population. We focus on proactive support to TSOs by delivering comprehensive security analyses and forecasts from a year ahead until intraday operations, leveraging advanced analytical skills and cutting-edge technologies to manage challenges posed by renewable energy integration and cross-border electricity exchanges. Our specialties include utilities, electrical and electronic manufacturing, and industrial automation.

Where we are located: Our headquarters are located at Av. de Cortenbergh 71, 1000 Bruxelles, Belgium. We operate 24/7 from this central office, coordinating security of supply for over 55% of the EU population.

Short history: Founded in February 2009, Coreso is the first joint technical coordination centre of its kind in Europe. It was established to embody collaboration and innovation among major European TSOs, including Elia (Belgium), RTE (France), National Grid (UK), Terna (Italy), 50Hertz (Germany), REE (Spain), and REN (Portugal). Since its inception, Coreso has played a key role in coordinating the European regional electricity grid to ensure security of supply.
