NLMK Clabecq

What we do: NLMK Clabecq specializes in the production of premium-quality low alloy steel plates, including abrasion resistant steel (Quard) and high strength structural steel (Quend). These products serve industries such as construction, shipbuilding, energy, transport, mining equipment manufacturing, and quarrying. The plant produces steel plates ranging from 3 to 120 mm thickness with a yearly capacity of 750,000 tonnes.

Where we are located: The company is headquartered in Ittre, Belgium, at Rue de Clabecq 101, 1460. This location houses the main production facilities and administrative offices.

Short history: The origins of NLMK Clabecq date back to 1850 with the founding of the Forges de Clabecq. The current rolling mill was built in 1971. After ceasing iron and steel making in 2002, the mill became part of the NLMK Group, a leading global steel producer. The plant has since integrated advanced technologies such as quenching and tempering (Q&T) introduced in 2011.
