Accounting associate
Objective: Handles operational management of client accounting files, prepares tax returns (VAT, income tax), ensures compliance of entries, and supports clients with administrative and tax procedures. Plays a key role in client relations and service quality.
Key responsibilities:
- Maintain and monitor accounting files for various clients (SMEs, self-employed, associations)
- Prepare and file VAT, tax, and social declarations
- Assist in preparing balance sheets and annual accounts
- Provide first-level advice to clients on administrative obligations
- Collaborate with the team to improve processes
Key skills:
- Proficiency with accounting software and digital tools (MyFiscalift, Excel, etc.)
- Rigour, organization, and respect for deadlines
- Strong communication and client listening skills
Typical profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, tax option preferred
- 2-5 years’ experience in a fiduciary or accounting firm
- Fluent in French, knowledge of Dutch or English is an asset
Work environment: Small, close-knit team, digitalized environment, ongoing training and support
Growth opportunities: Progression to file manager, chartered accountant, or tax specialization roles
