Forêt.Nature

What we do: Forêt.Nature is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising public awareness about the complexity, beauty, and fragility of forest ecosystems. Founded in 1987 by passionate foresters in southern Belgium, the organization promotes sustainable management and conservation of natural habitats, especially forests. It provides professional training, technical advice, scientific communication, and publishes educational magazines such as "Forêt.Nature" and the "Salamandre" series aimed at different age groups. Forêt.Nature also conducts research and development in continuous cover mixed forestry (SMCC) and manages international projects with European partners.

Location: The headquarters is located at Rue de la Plaine 9, 6900 Marche-en-Famenne, Belgium.

History: Established in 1987, Forêt.Nature has grown into a key player in environmental education and forest ecosystem management. Over nearly four decades, it has built a multidisciplinary team and developed strong collaborations with academic institutions and regional, national, and European partners.
