What we do: VOCSens is an innovative spin-off from the Université catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain) specializing in the development of ultra-low power, low-cost CMOS microsensors for the selective detection of volatile compounds. These sensors are designed for applications in the Internet of Things (IoT) and Industry 4.0, enabling smart environmental monitoring and industrial control. Their flagship product line, EnviCam®, is a unique environmental camera concept using proprietary CMOSEnvi™ technology compatible with standard CMOS processes, allowing precise measurement of multiple gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
Where we are located: VOCSens is headquartered at Rue Louis de Geer 6, 1348 Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, with operations based at Axis Parc, Mont-Saint-Guibert, near the Louvain-la-Neuve Science Park.
Short history: Founded in February 2019 as a spin-off from UCLouvain’s SMALL research group and ICTEAM Institute, VOCSens builds on over 20 years of academic research in CMOS-compatible environmental sensors, including gas, temperature, humidity, and pressure sensors. The company was established under the guidance of prominent professors and benefits from strong university collaborations.
