What we do: HUmani - CHU Charleroi-Chimay is the largest 100% public employer in Charleroi Métropole, managing a comprehensive healthcare network. We operate a hospital sector with 1506 approved beds across 6 hospitals and 7 polyclinics, including the Hôpital Civil Marie Curie, Hôpital André Vésale, Hôpital Léonard de Vinci, Hôpital Vincent Van Gogh, Centre de Santé des Fagnes, and Clinique Léon Neuens. Our services also include a sports medicine center (Charleroi Sport Santé) and a center for the management of sexual violence. In addition, we oversee a non-hospital sector comprising 3 nursing homes, 7 crèches, and a wide-ranging Youth and Adolescence Pole offering ambulatory and residential youth support, training, and resources.

Where we are located: Our headquarters is at 1 Boulevard Zoé Drion, 6000 Charleroi, Belgium. Our facilities are spread across Charleroi and the surrounding region, with multiple hospital sites, polyclinics, nursing homes, and crèches serving the local population.

Short history: HUmani was created on September 21, 2023, through the merger of the former AIHSHSN (Association Intercommunale Hospitalière du Sud Hainaut et du Sud namurois) and ISPPC (Intercommunale de Santé Publique du Pays de Charleroi). This new intercommunale consolidates a long-standing tradition of public healthcare in the region, uniting decades of expertise and service.

Organization & culture: With over 6,000 employees and about 700 doctors, HUmani is a major player in public healthcare. Our multidisciplinary teams are committed to quality, innovation, and patient-centered care.
