Short history: Founded in Liège, Belgium, in 1994 by Pierre L’Hoest and Laurent Minguet, EVS began with a vision to revolutionize live video production by replacing analog tape with digital recording[1][2]. EVS went public in 1998 and has since expanded its product range to serve not only outside broadcast (OB) vans but also TV studio production.
